Well, I've received the first cut of all three episodes. Actually, they were
all edited together since it seems like Conclusions is now likely to premiere as
"a movie" on Discovery Kids Channel in the US, probably early in 2006, January or
February, I'm guessing. It will also run as 3 episodes on Discovery Kids Channel
and at some point next year on NBC. Everyone outside the US will probably see it
as 3 episodes as well. But anyway...
Let's just say that I have a huge smile on my face. I really couldn't be happier
with the first cut. We had a lot to accomplish and I'm very satisfied with how it
all came out. The moments that I hoped would be there were there and there were
several others that surprised me. 2 moments really stood out as stunning, beyond
my expectations and truly special.
I know I created the show, but I also consider myself a huge fan. Having watched
it as a fan, I'm tremendously happy and I feel certain all of you will be as well.
Someone asked about process on editing. I'm not hands-on involved in that. It goes
to the editor who compiles all the material, then the director (Jeff) and producer
(Kevin) get a pass at it before it gets sent out to me, Discovery Kids and Shaftesbury.
We all make notes and another cut gets made addressing those notes. I'll hopefully
see the next cut late this week or early next week.
We'll also be meeting in the next couple of weeks about promos and online strategy.
Like I said, I'm hoping you will start to see stuff on-air and online about Conclusions
in October.
Some observations on the cut (without giving anything away of course...)
- Michael looks the most different (as you could tell from the photo.)
- Emma has, as many of you pointed out, grown up. She was always beautiful, but
she's more stunning than ever now.
- Yes...Robbie is quite buff.
Before, someone was asking about the Josie/Z scene I mentioned and comparing it
to their moment in Chirality. After seeing it cut together, I can safely say that
it is enormously more intense and emotional. A great, great scene topped for me
only by another scene which I won't mention.
I'm hoping to get some "official" photos soon. Once I do, I'll share...

которых я не ожидал. Паара моментов дествительно выделяются.
Я знаю, я - оздатель шоу, но я так же и его большой фанат. Смотря на отрывки как
фан, я безумно счастлив и уверен, что с вами будет тоже самое.
Кто-то спрашивал меня о процессе корректировки. Я не занимаюсь этим. Этим заняты
редакторы, которые собирают весь материал и отсылают его режиссеру (Jeff) и продюссеру
(Kevin), а уже потом отрывки приходят ко мне и на каналы Discovery Kids and Shaftesbury.
