flippin awesome is I guess how I'll put it....
Interesting day...we did stuff from the very beginning of the first episode including
the first scene and a scene from the very end of episode 3...
I know someone asked about shooting out of order...it's usually the way it's done.
Particularly when shooting three episodes at once, the days are planned according
to what set you're shooting in and actor days, not the order of the script. Everyone
is very used to doing it this way so its not an issue for the actors. they just
have to snap themselves into the frame of mind of that scene and be mindful of what
came before it.
We shot some science club stuff from episode 1 today...it's weird, after writing
these, there were a lot of scenes that i was really looking forward to seeing and
some that I had sort of forgotten about for the time being. This science club scene
was one of them, and it really took me by surprise...a really powerful scene in
which all the science club members have a strong motivation. Very memorable stuff...
Madison and Kubiak were in yesterday and were hysterically funny, it was great to
see Dru and Talia again...
Valerie and Jeff also wrapped yesterday...always sad when the last shot of a season
ends for one of our main cast members...today, we say goodbye to everyone else on
day 9, our last day of shooting.
quote from day 8...
"Everything that's happened here is his fault, you know it as well as I do..."
Last night at the hotel was pretty crazy. most of the cast & crew spent the night
so there was a big gathering at the pool and yes, lots of beer...lots of crew members,
Me, Mitch, Jeff King, Kevin May were all in attendance, as well as Lawrence, Robbie,
Emma, Michael, Noah, Tony and Dru. I bailed out about 130 am but I hear that some
were up to 430am (with an 8 am call mind you!) so quite a few were a little sluggish
this morning, but everyone has perked up...after all, it's our last day. sad yes,
but I'm just grateful we got here at all..
I'll post sometime tomorrow with the recap of day 9.
Cheers,
Jim
